Shakti's performance art is unbounded display that reaches the audience in poignant and powerful ways. Using the hoop as her dance partner, she choreographs pieces that read more like embodied ritual. A deep honoring of the natural world, and what she called Original Movement - that which cannot be forced or efforted, but only allowed. She has a diverse performance history with many types of apparatus including aerial silks, fans, hoops, and flags - fire dancing, LED, blacklight, and daytime props.

What Shakti brings that is unique and different is a real connection with the audience that leaves one feeling integrated, not separate, from the performer - often moving others to express emotion - be it total joy or sweet self-acceptence. Read what others are saying.

Now in her 6th year of performance, Shakti has begun to expand her shows from one-woman acts to full-blown sensory experiences - working with live musicians, fellow dancers, and dynamic videography and projection.
